🎓 Education:

Professor Nouria Fatah is a distinguished academic at Centrale Lille Institut, where she leads research in the Catalysis and Solid Chemistry Unit (UCCS). Her academic journey includes serving as a Professor at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Lille (ENSCL) since 2006, after earning her Habilitation to Supervise Research (HDR) from the University of Lille1 in 2005. She completed her Doctorate in Process Engineering from the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse in 1991, preceded by her engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1985.

📚 Teaching Activities:

Prof. Fatah is renowned for her expertise in Process Engineering, responsible for teaching courses on divided solids technology, gas-solid processes, and fluid mechanics. She has been instrumental in curriculum development and multimedia teaching innovations at ENSCL, including the design of an online module on gas-solid fluidisation. Her leadership extends to competitive examinations and recruitment, as well as ongoing training for industry professionals.

🔬 Research Activities:

Within the Catalysis and Solid Chemistry Unit, Prof. Fatah’s research focuses on the development of solvent-free materials, intensification of gas-solid reactors, powder technology, and numerical modelling. She supervises numerous theses and post-doctoral researchers and manages several industrial contracts and projects. Her work includes high-impact projects and contributions to French Process Engineering Congress sessions.

Prof. Fatah has held numerous administrative roles, including serving as a member of various specialist committees, and the Board of Directors of Centrale Lille Institut. Her contributions also include being an elected member of the ENSCL Administrative Board and the Centrale Lille Institut Scientific Council.

🏅 Distinctions:

In recognition of her contributions to academia, Prof. Fatah was honored with the title of Chevalier in the Order of the Palmes Académiques in 2012.
