Dr. Yongkui Ren, a distinguished cardiovascular specialist, is currently 38 years old. He serves as the Associate Chief Physician in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at The First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University, Dalian, China.

Education

Dr. Ren obtained his MD from Capital Medical University in Beijing, China. He completed his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees at China Medical University in Shenyang, China, specializing in cardiovascular research and clinical practice.

Dr. Ren is an active member of the Hypertension Prevention and Control Professional Committee of the Liaoning Primary Health Association, contributing to advancements in hypertension management and control.

Research Experience

Dr. Ren’s research journey began during his Master’s degree, focusing on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury. He continued his research at The First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University, where he successfully applied for grants and participated in significant multi-center clinical trials. His recent work during his Ph.D. involves the analysis of medical big data using machine learning methods for cohort analysis and prediction.

 Future Research Directions:

Dr. Ren aims to further investigate the mechanisms behind coronary artery calcification and its progression. He is also interested in identifying markers related to coronary calcification and exploring their mechanisms through basic research. Additionally, he plans to leverage advanced statistical methods, such as R language and machine learning, for data mining and participate in multi-center clinical trials.
