Assist Prof Dr. Oktay Aksu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mapping from MSB Harita Genel Komutanlığı Harita Yüksekokulu (1983), an MSc in Geodesy & Photogrammetry from Istanbul Technical University (1998), and a PhD in Geodesy & Photogrammetry from Istanbul Technical University (2002). His theses focused on aerial triangulation methods and spatial changes due to liquefaction and fault movements.

Assist Prof Dr. Aksu has served as an Assistant Professor at Okan University since 2014, following a role as a Lecturer there. His professional background includes roles as an Advisor and Project Manager for Pasco Corporation in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, respectively. Additionally, he has held positions as a Lecturer at MSB Harita Yüksekokulu and as an Engineer Officer at the General Command of Mapping.
