📚 Education:

Prof. Khadidja RAHMOUN earned her Doctorate in Electronic Physics in 2007 from the University of Tlemcen, in collaboration with the University of Artois de Lens and the University of Rennes1. Her thesis, “Study of the mechanical properties of porous silicon,” was supervised by Prof. N.E. Chabane Sari and received high honors and jury commendation. In 1984, she obtained a Magister in Electronic Physics, prepared in collaboration with LCPC Paris, with a thesis on “Study of materials by ultrasound using the example of concrete,” supervised by Prof. Narkievich Jodko. She also holds a DES (Diplôme d’Études Supérieures) in Electronics from the University of Tlemcen, obtained in 1980, with a thesis on “Color television,” supervised by Lecturer J. Ménéxiadis. She completed her Mathematics Baccalaureate in 1976 at Lycée Maliha Hamidou, Tlemcen.

👩‍🏫 Professional Experience:

Prof. RAHMOUN has a rich professional background, starting as a member of the Laboratory of Simulation, Characterization, and Development of Microsystems (LSCDM) from 1997 to 2013. She has led teams within the Research Unit of Materials and Renewable Energies (URMER), including NMPVA (Nano Photovoltaic Materials & Applications) and NMAC (Nano Materials & Applications, Sensors). She has held significant roles such as Member of the Doctoral Training Committee LMD, Member of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Sciences, and Head of the Laboratory of Waves, Vibration, and Optics. Currently, she is the Director of URMER and the Head of the master’s training team in Energetics and Renewable Energies at the University of Tlemcen.

🎓 Teaching Experience:

Prof. RAHMOUN has extensive teaching experience dating back to 1981, covering physics tutorials in mechanics and electronics, practical work in waves, vibrations, optics, and thermodynamics, and courses in technological sciences, nanotechnology, and renewable energies. She has taught at various levels, including undergraduate and graduate courses, and supervised numerous Magister and Master’s theses on topics related to electronic physics, material characterization, and photovoltaic systems.

📖 Research and Supervision:

Throughout her career, Prof. RAHMOUN has supervised and defended multiple Magister and Master’s theses, focusing on the mechanical characterization of porous silicon, the influence of light on infrared glasses, and the energy efficiency of photovoltaic cells. Her doctoral supervision includes research on the performance of photovoltaic modules, mechanical strength modeling, and the efficiency of thin-film photovoltaic cells. Her ongoing doctoral research spans topics such as the mechanical behavior of materials under micro- and nano-indentation and the development of nanomaterials for photovoltaic applications.
