Education:
Mr. Tshotsho completed his B.A. in Economics at Bharathiar University, India, followed by an MSc. in Economics from Teri University, India. He pursued his PhD. in Agricultural Economics at the University of Hohenheim, Germany, where he specialized in the economic aspects of agriculture and rural development.
Professional Experience:
Mr. Tshotsho began his career as an Assistant Lecturer at Sherubtse College, Royal University of Bhutan, from 2008 to 2016. He then advanced to his current role as an Associate Lecturer at the College of Natural Resources, Royal University of Bhutan, where he has been teaching since 2017. His professional journey reflects a strong commitment to education and research in the field of economics and agriculture.
Research Interests:
Mr. Tshotshoâs research interests encompass various aspects of agricultural economics, including indigenous agricultural practices, organic farming, and socio-economic resilience. He is particularly focused on how traditional knowledge can be integrated with modern practices to address environmental and socio-economic challenges in Bhutan. His work includes evaluating the impact of LPG on fuel stacking and analyzing large-scale organic conversion practices.
