🏆 Achievements and Contributions

Mr. Álvaro is the proud winner of the III Bioinformatics Datathon, organized by the University of Granada. He is also one of the main developers of the Shiny app ObMetrics, a tool designed to calculate a wide range of Metabolic Syndrome outputs tailored to pediatric patients. His involvement in numerous national and international congresses through posters and oral presentations further showcases his active engagement in the research community.

Mr. Álvaro has completed several courses to enhance his technical expertise, including R/RStudio/Shiny, Python, and LaTeX. He has also gained specialized knowledge in GWAS analysis, exposome studies, and systematic reviews/meta-analyses. 🎓 Academic Background & Education

Professor Yaser H. A. Elewa is a distinguished Professor of Histology and Cell Biology (currently on Sabbatical leave) at the Department of Histology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University, Egypt. He obtained his Ph.D. in Histology and Cell Biology in April 2011 through a prestigious channel system scholarship between Hokkaido University, Japan, and Zagazig University, Egypt. Prior to that, he completed his Master’s degree in April 2006, focusing on immunological organs in Ostrich, from the same department. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medical Sciences, graduating with honors in 2001.

💼 Professional Experience

Prof. Elewa has held several academic positions, including his current role as a Professor at Zagazig University since April 2021. He has also been a Tenure-track Assistant Professor at the Department of Biomedical Science, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Hokkaido University, Japan, since February 2017. His extensive teaching experience spans various subjects, including Anatomy, Histology, and Cellular Biology, where he has developed and delivered specialized curriculum and laboratory experiments for undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students.

With a deep passion for research, Prof. Elewa’s interests lie in areas such as Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue, Mediastinal fat-associated lymphoid clusters, and Immunity—both innate and adaptive. His expertise extends to Histopathology, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, and advanced microscopic techniques, including Transmission and Scanning Electron Microscopy. His research has contributed significantly to understanding respiratory diseases, intrathoracic immune hemostasis, autoimmunity, kidney diseases, and reproductive disorders.

Throughout his career, Prof. Elewa has been honored with numerous awards and scholarships, including the prestigious Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) post-doctoral fellowship. Dr. Megha earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Thapar University, Patiala, Punjab, in 2018, with a thesis titled “A Generic Framework for Improving Software Product Line using an Ontological Rule-Based Approach.” She holds a Master’s in Engineering from the same institution, where she focused on improving Software Product Line Engineering using AOP, LEL, and UML. She completed her Bachelor’s of Technology in Information Technology from the University Institute of Information Technology, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, HP.

Dr. Megha currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Languages and Systems at the University of Seville, Spain, since April 2024. She also holds the position of Honorary Adjunct Faculty at the School of Computing, Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, Kano since July 2024.
